The House agreed to the motion moved by Ingrid Stitt, That it be an instruction to the Committee that they have the power to consider amendments and new clauses to amend the Building Act 1993 in relation to prefabrication work and prefabrication builders, complex plumbing work, developer bonds and minor matters, the Building and Plumbing Administration and Enforcement Act 2026 to make consequential amendments to that Act and the Domestic Building Contracts Amendment Act 2025 to delay its forced commencement date.
