Having given notice on 27 October 2021, Ms Symes moved, That Standing Orders be suspended to the extent necessary to allow the Committee to have the power to consider Amendments and New Clauses to amend the Juries Act 2000 to provide that the Juries Commissioner may exempt a person or class of persons from selection to be summoned for jury service based on health, safety or welfare concerns.
