The House debated and agreed to a motion moved by Katherine Copsey, That it be an instruction to the Committee that they have the power to consider amendments and New Clauses to amend the Firearms Act 1996 to restrict the number of firearms that a licence holder may possess, carry or use and to abolish junior licences.

The House debated and agreed to a motion moved by Jeff Bourman, That it be an instruction to the Committee that they have the power to consider amendments and New Clauses to amend the Firearms Act 1996 in relation to reporting requirements for approved handgun target shooting clubs and the exemption for a non-prohibited person who is carrying or using a general category handgun at an approved shooting range and is receiving instruction in the use of a general category handgun.
